About My Company

The name “Argus” means “bright-eyed and all-knowing; a watchful protector.” This was the name of my first dog (he was 90-pound German Shepherd.) All service dogs are welcome in my office.

Meet the Owner

I am Alisa A. Brzek and I served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. During my time in the Air Force, I was a First Sergeant for Security Forces and Aircraft Maintenance and I gained a deep understanding of the struggles of veterans and their families.

After retiring from the USAF I began working with active duty members in an inpatient mental health facility, I heard war stories and the personal traumas that so many military members have gone through. These brave Americans have been suffering in silence with many of them experiencing intense guilt and shame.

Alisa A. Brzek, competing for First Sergeant of the Year. A veteran who understands veteran trauma.

I made it a point not to let my brothers and sisters suffer alone. I deemed it necessary to help our country’s veterans and first responders bear their burdens and set them on the path to healing. After spending time with veterans and first responders my ideal client expanded to those that have experienced trauma and personal tragedy.

Why Undergo Counseling

Many of us think of counseling as a luxury, but when we continue to feel anxious, angry, sad, and just generally out of control, we can see counseling for what it could be…life-changing. I caution you not to compare your trauma to another person's trauma. Comparison keeps people from seeking help.

If you are struggling with various issues today, then please consider calling or emailing me. I will walk with you as you embark on a journey of self-discovery. It may not be easy at first. However, I will help you understand your history, feelings, and present stressors that keep you from living the life you want. I am EMDR certified and use EMDR to treat a wide variety of mental health concerns.
